CRUM TAKES CARE OF FORT GAY TO ADVANCE TO THE TITLE GAME; Vikings will play for third place

Buffalo, W.V.  — #1 seed Crum dispatched #5 seed Fort Gay 61-31 in the semifinals of the Wayne Co. Boys Basketball Tournament on Thursday at Buffalo middle. 

Anakin Deskins surpassed the 500 point mark in a recent game. 

Crum was led by Parker Stacy hit 5 three pointers and finished with 24 points, Anakin Deskins tallied 18 points, Carson Castle added 12 points, Mason Meddings scored 4 points and Aiden Messer chipped in with 3 points. 

The Mountaineers hit 6 three pointers and went 11 for 15 from the charity stripe. 

Carson Castle broke the 500 point barrier in a recent game. 

Fort Gay was led by Karter Johnson with 13 points including 3 three pointers. Braxton Salmons added 6 points, Zay Maynard tallied 4 points, TJ Adkins netted 3 points, Tristian Smith and Dawson Richardson had 2 points each, Jameson Evans chipped in with 1 point. 

The Vikings hit 4 three pointers and went 1 for 6 from the free throw line. 

FGMS 6 4 12 9 – 31 

CMS 12 14 18 17 – 61 

The Mountaineers will play for back to back County Championships on Saturday afternoon at 1:45 against Ceredo-Kenova. 

The Vikings will play Vinson at Noon on Saturday for third place.
