Hammond, a member of the Louisa Volunteer Fire department., attempted to avoid Mullett and steered into the southbound lane, but the front right bumper of the vehicle struck Mullett causing multiple injuries. Hammond stopped and began rendering aid until EMS arrived on scene.
Christopher Paul Mullett, age 39, was transported by Air Evac to Cabell Huntington Hospital. At 11:30 pm Mullett was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Christopher Mullett had an even more extensive criminal record in Lawrence County than his younger brother, having been arrested 16 times in the 13 years (since November 2006), on 34 criminal charges.
This man is 35 years old, a long rap sheet, and still being defended by his mother. That folks is one of many problems in EKY…..get well soon Ed.
Whats up with this 1st offense stuff?
if the dopehead had been in jail where he belonged this wouldnt have happened get better soon Ed Cordle
10th arrest in just under 19 years…since January 1st 2006? Uh, ok
When become PERFECT and God then you may judge
Jamie may have been in the wrong here, but the comment about his mother defending him is a bit too much. That is her child and no matter what your child does you still
Love them. She ask for PRAYERS and admitted he was in the wrong and that I’m my opinion is saying a lot. Yes he has a criminal record, yes he has wronged many people including his family, but instead of placing blame and judgement try hitting your knees and praying for this family. We live in a world where addiction reigns and those two aren’t the only ones in the community with a “rap sheet a mile long”.
A mother will defend her children no matter what. It’s human nature for her to do that. On the other hand, this guy should have been sent to prison a long time ago instead of going through the revolving door of theLawrence County Court System. Our police arrest them and the Curt’s turn them loose. I hope this guys gets what he deserves this time. Get well soon Ed.
HOW CAN YOU NOT FEEL FOR JAMES TOO? YOU NEED TO WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE! Any TRUE mother is going to defend their kids no matter what! Are any of you in their shoes? Are you God? Levisa Lazer…you don’t have the NERVE to talk to Mae!
As a mother I am including all involved in my prayers, this mother, her son , Blake Hammond & family. Pain from a breaking heart can’t be controlled – if you can’t take it to God who can you take it to? I
