Bulldog Head Coach Sam Sparks

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… We have had really good hitting sessions and our approaches the last few weeks. And I thought we came out tonight ready to play. Molly ( Fahm ) is one of the best pitchers in the region but I thought are kids were really locked in especially the top of our lineup. We barreled some balls up early and then we got kids just putting the ball in play and driving runs in or getting them to third for the next batter to drive in. Happy for our girls.”

“… Sometimes I think we take too many pitches but our hitters are pretty disciplined and know the strike zone. I think getting the count in our favor early really helped us.”

“…We really take Taylor ( Blevins ) for granted. She gives us a chance to win every time out. On Monday her control wasn’t great but it was better tonight, she has a great demeanor in the circle and our kids really believe in her and play great defense behind her. We are lucky to have her.”

“… You don’t get to the finals of the region all the time so when you do you have to seal the deal. I was afraid of a little letdown after Belfry beat JC but we came out ready to play.”
