Louisa, Ky The Lawrence County boys improved to 15-10 after a 93-60 victory over Letcher County Central on Monday night.

Kaiden Harris splits the double team for a bucket. 

Kaiden Harris led five Dawgs in double figures with 18 points including 3 three pointers, Kaden Johnson tallied 17 points and 9 rebounds, CJ Waller 16 points and a team high 13 rebounds, Hayden Perry added 14 points including 3 three pointers, Isaah Hughes had 10 points, Caden Muncy and Andrew Ratcliffe had 7 points each, Grant Cochran chipped in with 4 points. 

The Dawgs hit 12 three pointers and went 9 of 16 from the free throw line.

The Dawgs wrapped up District play with a road victory over the Bobcats. 

Kaiden Harris led the Dawgs with 26 points including 3 three pointers, CJ Waller tallied 15 points, Kaden Johnson added 13 points, Isaah Hughes had 12 points including 3 three pointers, Caden Muncy hit 3 three pointers and finished with 9 points, Hayden Perry also scored 9 points, Andrew Ratcliffe chipped in with 3 points. 

The Dawgs hit 13 three pointers and went 9 of 12 from the free throw line. 

Floyd Central 83 Lawrence Co. 81 ( Friday ) 

The Jaguars scored with under five seconds left to wrap up the #1 seed in the 58th District tournament. 

Kaiden Harris led the Bulldogs with 21 points, Kaden Johnson added 19 points, Hayden Perry tallied 14 points, CJ Waller netted 13 points, Caden Muncy had 11 points and Isaah Hughes chipped in with 3 points.

The Dawgs hit 10 three pointers and went 7 of 10 from the free throw line. 

The Dawgs will host Paintsville on Tuesday before closing out the regular season with a home game versus Ashland on Thursday.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Tough district loss to Floyd Central on Friday night. We played well enough to win, just didn’t finish the game. Hats off to Floyd Central. They played a really good game.

“… Nice to bounce back with a district win over Betsy Layne and also beat a really good Letcher Central team. We are taking steps in the right direction at the right point in the season. Looking forward to two tough ones with Paintsville and Ashland before heading into the district tournament next week.”
