Bulldog Football Hosting ‘Three Team Scrimmage’ This Friday At 6:00

Louisa, Ky. — This Friday night the Lawrence County High School football team will welcome Russell and Johnson Central to Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium for the first scrimmage of the 2025 season. 

Each team will get 10 plays of offense and 10 plays of defense, followed by a rotation.  

The Bulldogs went 8-4 in 2024 and lost in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs at Bell County. 

The Russell Red Devils went 9-4 last season and lost in the regional championship game at Belfry. 

The Johnson Central Golden Eagles went 8-4 last year and lost in the Class 4A playoffs to Covington Catholic. 

Lawrence County will have a second scrimmage on Friday August 15th when they host Prestonsburg before opening the season at Martin County on August 22nd.
