It is with great sadness we announce the death of Betty Jo Rittenberry, 91.

Betty Jo passed peacefully on March 31, 2025 and is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Betty Jo was born on November 24, 1933 to the late Sherman and Lizzy (Spurlock) Hall. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wayne, Jr.; three children Johnny, Ricky, and Darlene; four sisters Geneva, Ivory, Hazel, and Sarah; and three brothers Troy, Daniel, and Charles “Buck”.

Betty Jo is survived by her loving family of four children: Steve (Sharon), Dave, Betty Jean (David), and Peggy (Joe); eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two siblings Millie and Macle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Spurlock Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Rittenberry and her family.
