Impacts to KY 3 and Johnson Bottom Rd Expected

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 26, 2024) – Crews from Fredrick & May are scheduled to set beams for the Johnson Bottom Bridge replacement project on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Work will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is expected to be completed in one day. The site is located at MP 16.5 on KY 3 at the intersection of Johnson Bottom Rd.

Traffic Impacts:

• KY 3: Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with one-way traffic maintained for most of the day. Motorists should expect minor delays.

• CR-1317 (Johnson Bottom Road): Traffic will be stopped while the crane sets each of the eight beams. Moderate to longer delays are expected, as vehicles will be allowed to pass between beam placements.

Motorists are advised to plan for delays if traveling in the area.
