Louisa, Ky. — Brady Caudill walked with the bases loaded to score Boedy Maynard with the winning run for a 4-3 Lawrence Co. win over Pikeville on Friday night.

Eli Caudill picked up the victory in relief, Gray Derifield started and went five innings, allowed seven hits, two earned runs and walked one, Grant Cochran went one and 2/3 innings, allowed no runs, no hits and walked one. 

Brady Caudill had three RBI, Gray Derifield had two hits including a singled and scored a run, Grant Cochran had one hit and one RBI, Boedy Maynard singled and scored two runs, Maddox Fletcher singled, Braylen Stumbo scored a run. 

Ashland 2 Lawrence Co. 0 ( Wednesday )

Braxton Davis pitched well in a loss on the road against the Tomcats who improved to 17-2 on the year. 

The Dawgs could only muster four hits in the defeat. Brady Caudill doubled, Boedy Maynard, Owen Pack and Braxton Davis all singled. 

Belfry 7 Lawrence Co. 4 ( Thursday ) 

In another road contest the Dawgs fell behind early and never recovered against the Pirates. 

Boedy Maynard was the losing pitcher.

Gray Derifield had two hits and scored two runs, Grant Cochran singled and drove in two runs, Owen Pack doubled and drove in one run, Maynard doubled and scored a run, Braxton Davis singled and drove in a run, Max Murriell singled and CJ Whitt scored a run. 

 

Lawrence Co. 11 Martin Co. 1 ( Saturday ) 

In the first game of a doubleheader at Knott Co. Central the Bulldogs mercy ruled the Cardinals in six innings. 

Grant Cochran was the winning pitcher tossing all six innings, allowing two hits, one run, walked two and struck out three. He also doubled and drove in three runs. 

Boedy Maynard had two hits and four runs batted in, Eli Caudill had two hits, two runs batted in and scored two runs, Gray Derifield was on base four times with two walks and two singles and scored three runs, Owen Pack and Braxton Davis singled and scored a run, Maddox Fletcher had one RBI and scored a run, CJ Whitt scored two runs. 

Knott Co. Central 3 Lawrence Co. 1 ( Saturday ) 

In the second game of the doubleheader the host Patriots defeated the Dawgs. 

Boedy Maynard was the hard luck loser going six innings, allowing four hits, three runs, walked two and struck out one. 

The Bulldogs only had four hits in the contest, Brady Caudill doubled and scored a run, Max Murriell had one RBI, Owen Pack, Braxton Davis and Eli Caudill all singled. 

Owen Pack is greeted by first base coach Julius Music after picking up a single. 

The Dawgs ( 11-10 ) will return to action with three games this week beginning on Tuesday at Home vs East Carter ( 8-10 ) and then travel to Floyd Central ( 8-12 ) on Thursday before hosting Floyd Central on Friday night.

“… Been a tough stretch for us at the plate, pitching and defense has been good enough for us to win a lot of games this season. Need to figure out some things before it gets too late into the season.”
