Barbara Preston, 84, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Barbara was born June 25, 1941 in Lawrence County, KY to the late Proctor and Elsie (Hammonds) Senters. Barbara was a member of the Church of Christ. She was an original member of the Louisa Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Barbara very loving and welcoming to everyone. She loved sitting on the porch working her puzzles, but Barbara was happiest when she was babysitting her grandbabies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Preston; sister JoAnn Short; and brother Douglas Senters.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law Robert Steve and Peggy Preston; grandchildren Brittany Stacy, Morgan Stacy, and Michael Preston; great grandchildren Carson Stacy, Madelyn Stacy, Brynleigh Stacy, and Gracelyn Preston; and sisters Betty Bentley, June Diamond, Faye Hughes, and Jean Burchett.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Vinnie VanHoose and Pastor Cecil Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Preston and her family. In memory of our beloved Barbara, we invite you to leave your memories and upload photos to her memorial page. May her legacy continue to inspire and uplift us all as we remember her life of love, faith, and generosity.
