BALLOT POSITIONS DRAWN IN LAWRENCE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY

Lawrence Co. Clerk Chris Jobe conducted a drawing for positions on the Primary ’26 ballot last Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.

There is no Democrat ballot because the candidates who have registered are uncontested in their party.

Two magistrate positions are up for grabs because of the decision not to run by Dist 2 magistrate John Scaggs and District 4 magistrate Rick Blackburn is trying to move up to the judge’s position creating an open seat on the fiscal court.

These are the positions on the ballot.
