Special guest Sean Whiting
Prestonsburg, Ky. – The popular Eagles tribute act, The Long Run, will be presenting “A Journey through the music of the Eagles” in the Willard & Lucy Kinzer Theater at the Mountain Arts Center (MAC). This will mark a return to the area from last summer, when they displayed hit after hit from the Eagles repertoire to the energetic, rocking crowd.
The members of the band have been involved in rock, country, and pop music for over 3 decades. They have recorded and shared the stage with acts and performers such as The Coasters, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, The Bee Gees, Peter Frampton, and Eric Clapton.
MAC Executive Director Clayton Case says he extremely excited for their return.
“After last year’s concert, the calls consistently flooded in with requests to bring The Long Run back. These guys not only are top notch musicians, but really great to work with,” Case remarked. “The band is also excited to be back. It will be a great night with timeless music.”
Also on tap for the evening, local musician Sean Whiting will be the opening act. The singer/songwriter has a southern sound, with soul and blues blended in. His style is a unique blend of blues, rock, and Americana.
The Long Run will be Friday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Ky. Tickets are $19, and can be purchased by visiting www.macarts.com or calling 1-888-MAC-ARTS.
