4.A.1. Lawrence County Schools’ staff has collected and delivered supplies to Letcher and Floyd Counties, and we are currently working with Perry County to help with books.
4.A.2. Lawrence County Schools held its 3rd Lawrence County Professional Learning Conference on August 5th with great staff reviews.
4.A.3. The Lawrence County Staff heard from Dr. Kevin Elko during our Opening Day Breakfast.
4.A.4. Dr. Fletcher and other community leaders met with Senator Rand Paul on August
9; Several topics were discussed, including the need for funding for staff raises.
4.A.5. Mrs. Allison Webb Brown has been selected by the Kentucky Speech Language Hearing Association to represent Kentucky at the National American Speech Language Hearing Association Conference in New Orleans on November 17, 18, and 19.
4.A.6. Evaluations of our school facilities have been completed in the KFICS process; the Local Planning Committee (LPC) will have its first meeting later this month.
4.A.7. As of the first day of school, we opened with 2287 students; we closed last school year with 2344 students.
4.A.8. Lawrence County Administrators attended the KASA Leadership in July for networking and learning.
