Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that two drug suspects from Ashland were arrested.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Huntington area of Wayne County.
During the stop criminal indicators were detected. During the investigation it was determined that the couple was transporting drugs from Huntington. The passenger, Misty Rose, removed baggies of Methamphetamine and Heroin that she hid in the front of her pants. A quantity of controlled pills were also seized on the stop.
The driver, Justin Watts, and Misty are each charged with Conspiracy to Distribute 50 grams or more of Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin. Justin is currently on parole in Kentucky.
