ARC East Region COO Amanda Hall honored as “Trailblazer” during Empathy Day at Kentucky State Capitol

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 7, 2024) — Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) East Region Chief Operations Officer Amanda Hall shared the spotlight with other addiction treatment and justice reform leaders on Tuesday during the annual Empathy Day held at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort.

Hall took home the Trailblazer Award. The award was presented by Representative Kim Moser, who represents the state’s 64th House District. Rep. Moser, who has worked alongside Amanda for several years combating the addiction crisis, shared that she is thrilled to see her acknowledged not just for her work but for her heart for others.

“She uses her personal experience and certainly empathy to bring policy together, to educate folks on the importance of policy, why words matter when talking about policy, how to get better treatment, how we connect the dots when we are talking about treatment and reentry…,” said Rep. Moser. “I can think of no one more deserving than Amanda Hall.”

The award was part of Empathy Day in Frankfort, hosted by Dream.org.

Hall shared that this award was extremely meaningful to her, especially since she was chosen to receive the award among her peers.

“There was a point in time that I never thought that I would be able to advocate and change lives,” said Hall. “This really shows that when people come together, you can make change.”
