Louisa, Ky. — It has been 35 days since Lawrence County has played a home football game but this Friday night the Dawgs will open up District play against Letcher Co. Central.
#51 Ty Brooks moves in for the tackle versus North Laurel.
The 2-1 Bulldogs only got to play the first half last Friday at North Laurel and were leading 13-7 when the game was postponed until October 27th.
It will be the annual homecoming game when the Letcher Co. Central Cougars ( 3-2 ) come into Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.
The Dawgs look to start off on the right foot in District play with their eye on a second straight championship.
The Cougars will be without star QB Gunnar Holbrook who broke his foot.
Kaden Johnson has made a smooth transition to QB and will only get better with each snap he takes. Last week in the first half against North Laurel he had a touchdown rushing and an electrifying punt return touchdown as well.
The Bulldog defense has been stellar all season and will be hungry to show the homecoming crowd that defense wins championships.
