Also, the Louisa City Pool will start advertising today on the Louisa City website www.cityoflouisa.org for city pool employees. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING MAYOR SLONE TO INVESTIGATE OPTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS TO PROVIDE WATER TO TOWN OF FORT GAY, WV
Mayor Slone met with the new administration of the City of Fort Gay, WV. last week, he said. The discussion was about the Fort Gay Water Plant which is extremely old, not updated, old technology and it would cost a lot to fix. Water operators are hard to find, also.
Slone thought one way the City of Louisa could grow more customers is jump across the river and do business with those folks… If it’s a good deal for all involved.
“We currently have a line that goes to the Point Section under the Levisa River.” Thoughts are they could replace the water line which is 35 years old and would expand to Ft. Gay. Then the City would then apply for a Grant to cover costs.” Slone said.
The Louisa City Council unanimously approved Mayor Slone to investigate options and requirements to provide water to the Town of Fort Gay, WV, with a Motion by Keith Chaffin seconded by Coty Roe.

UPDATE ON GARBAGE TRUCK

Slone has received 5 quotes so far but only 2 quotes have the specs the city needs, Slone said. “It takes 300 days to build a garbage truck.
