Brushy Road was flooded yesterday also. Mattie Rd, near Nancy  & Howard Moore’s homeplace was flooded but passable yesterday afternoon.  1760 was flooded just before the bridge off 32. Also passable in the afternoon.  Worst flooding I’ve seen for years. Several culverts washed out…–Victoria Moore

SCHOOLS CLOSED FRIDAY

Due to flooding, Lawrence County Schools will be closed tomorrow (Friday, 2/7/25). Blaine Elementary’s sewer plant was impacted, and several roads remain covered or washed out, with more rain expected. Road conditions will be assessed this weekend to adjust bus routes for Monday.
