LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST – NOVEMBER 24-30, 2019
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY, ALONG WITH CHILLY, RAINY WEATHER, LEADS TO DROP IN ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY AND NEIGHBORING COUNTIES.
In the past 7 day period from 12:01 A.M. November 24, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. November 30, 2019, there were at least 57 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 93, 9 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Five Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Martin County, who was later transferred to Pike County, and 4 in Johnson County).
That is in comparison to the previous past 9 day period from 12:01 A.M. November 15, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. November 23, 2019, there were at least 93 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 93, 14 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. 4 Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Martin County, 2 in Johnson County, and 2 in Rowan County). Also 3 Fort Gay, West Virginia residents were arrested in various Kentucky county jurisdictions .
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville as of 11:59 P.M. Sunday night, December 1, 2019, was 212.

Tennie R. Copley, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on November 24, 2019, at 2:02 P.M., by trooper Steven Davidson, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES.
Carlos R Hayes, 50, of Louisa, was arrested on November 24,2019,at 5:45 P.M.,by chief deputy Mason Keefer,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:
• FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS).
Bobbi Jean Hayes, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on November 24, 2019, at 5:47 P.M.,by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),
• SPEEDING 10 MPH OVER LIMIT

Jessica Graham, 38, of Blaine,Kentucky; was arrested on November 25,2019,at 7:24 A.M.,by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),
• FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT.
John Thomas Scott, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on November 26, 2019, at 10:32 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• NO TAIL LAMPS,

Jimmy D. Cornette Sr., 54, of Louisa ,Kentucky; was arrested on November 27, 2019, at 12:03 A.M., by a deputy of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).
