LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST – OCTOBER 29-NOVEMBER 6, 2019

FROM AROUND 4 P.M. OCTOBER 26 UNTIL AROUND 3 A.M. NOVEMBER 3 (8 DAYS), THERE WAS ONLY ONE ARREST IN LAWRENCE COUNTY; AFTERWARDS, IN THE FOLLOWING 66 HOUR PERIOD (2 & 3/4 DAYS), THERE WERE 15 ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY.
In the past 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 29, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. November 6, 2019, there were at least 76 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 76, 16 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Four Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (2 in Pike Count-1 of whom had originally been arrested in Johnson County,1 in Boyd County,and 1 in Greenup County),
Also a Fort Gay resident was arrested in Martin County.
That is in comparison to the previous past 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 21, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 28, 2019, there were at least 83 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 83, 13 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Three Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Johnson County, and 1 Lawrence County resident was taken in custody by an unknown police agency in Marion County, Ky., after being given final sentencing on criminal charges).
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville as of late Wednesday night, November 6, 2019, was 213.
The names and criminal charges of those latest sixteen arrested in Lawrence County, along with the four Lawrence County residents (and 1 Fort Gay,W.Va.) arrested in other Ky. county jurisdictions, are the following:
Heather Marcum, 24, of Huntington, West Virginia; was arrested on November 1, 2019, at 2:51 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY).
Melinda M Wallace, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on November 3, 2019, at 4:22 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE

Christopher J. Mollette, 31, of Tomahawk,Kentucky; was arrested on November 3, 2019, at 4:31 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
•DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Elizabeth Zeek, 37, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 12:12 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Chad A. Nichols, 36, of Lovely,Kentucky; was arrested on November 4,2019, at 12:30 A.M.,by deputy Michael Housinger of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Bruce Bowen Jr., 37, of Louisa, was arrested on October 21, 2019, at 5:36 A.M., by trooper Travis Cundiff, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/ DVO.
Verlin K. Bryant, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 1:20 P.M., by deputy Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (NO VISIBLE INJURY)
Rebecca Clark, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 1:26 PM., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

Tiara A. Curry, 23, of Louisa, was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 1:39 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.
Luresia Lynn Copley, 30, of Ashland, Kentucky; was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 5:36 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).
Tabitha Jude, 48, of Louisa, was arrested on November 4, 2019, at 6:53 P.M., by chief deputy Mason Keefer, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Scottie Lee Rowe, 46, of Morehead, Kentucky; was arrested on November 5, 2019, at 1:45 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Brian Keith Maynard, 50, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on October 30, 2019, at 3:38 P.M., by deputy C. Mays of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Treana M. Jennings, 37, of Fallsburg, Kentucky; was transferred from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, to the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville in Pike County on October 30, 2019, at 4:22 P.M., to face the charge of: FAILURE TO PAY FINE, and was order by Pike County District Court judge Tommy May to pay in full cash of the amount of $90.50; after Treana M.Jennings original arrest in Johnson County on October 28, 2019, at 8:24 P.M., by Trooper Captain Donald Shearer, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., and was charged with:

Kimberly O. Marcum, 35, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested in Martin County on November1, 2019, at 4:00 A.M., by deputy Darrell Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Mia S. Mullins, 35, of Louisa, was arrested in Pike County on November 2, 2019, at 1:23 P.M., by officer Austin Kranzman, of the Pikeville Police Department, and was charged with:
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED (WISE COUNTY, VIRGINIA).
Robert David Hammond, 53, of Louisa, was arrested in Greenup County on November 5, 2019, at 5:53 P.M., by an officer of the Russell Police Department, and was charged with:
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

To see folks in their 20s and 30s with all their teeth missing is a sad thing. Meth must be one heck-of-a drug to inflict so much damage on the body so quickly. Thank god I never got involved with it.
