The Dawgs will open up the playoffs with another trip to Buckley’s Creek to face Pike Co. Central next Friday night. The two teams met October 11th with the Hawks winning 48-35.
Lawrence Co. Head Coach Alan Short
COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Raceland is a well coached tough physical team that played good tonight. They have a bunch of athletes all over the field. We had a couple mistakes and they took advantage of those and made us pay. We are so young it makes it tough on us when things go wrong.”
“… They ran a punt back for a touchdown and then I thought we got the momentum back when Andrew Tackett ran the kickoff back to tie it. They answered right back and we didn’t recover.”
“… Hopefully the schedule that we played the first ten games will prepare us for the playoffs. We get another shot at Pike Central hopefully this time it’s a different outcome. Our kids should be excited to make that trip after losing the first time.”

There needs to be fundamental changes if LC ever expects to win ballgames again. Yes there is a lot of youth but didn’t four or five seniors quit earlier in the season?! The offense is running an option that is predictable every time.
Same. Yes Seniors quit. Sr-Jr are being left standing on sidelines watching under classmen favorites get all the playing time after messing up time over time over time. Know they are building team for future years however need to win some this year too.
