In the past 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 21, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 28,2019; there were at least 83 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 83, 13 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Three Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Johnson County, and 1 Lawrence County resident was taken in custody by an unknown police agency in Marion County, Ky., after being given final sentencing on criminal charges).
That is in comparison to the previous past 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 13, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 20,2019; there were at least 69 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 69, 10 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. In addition, 3 Lawrence County residents were taken into custody in other Kentucky counties (1 in Martin County, 1 resident was arrested in Lawrence County by the state police on a federal warrant and was lodged in Carter County,and 1 resident taken by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to Hardin County to be prep for into a state prison).
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville was 219, as of 8:00 A.M. Monday, October 29, 2019.
The names and criminal charges of those latest thirteen arrested in Lawrence County, along with the two Lawrence County residents arrested in other Ky. county jurisdictions, are the following:
William G. Newsome, 42, of Greenup, Kentucky; was arrested on October 21, 2019, at 1:54 P.M., by trooper Charlie Jones, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:
• BAIL JUMPING 1ST DEGREE,
• PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I,
• FAILURE TO APPEAR
Fred C. Dean, 41, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on October 21, 2019, at 10:24 P.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department ,and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR.
William L. Copley, 45, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on October 21, 2019, at 10:24 P.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department ,and was charged with:

Tabitha Jude, 48, of Louisa, was arrested on October 24, 2019, at 5:57 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

Angela M. Fyffe, 54, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on October 24, 2019, at 1:37 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
- CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF FORGED INSTRUMENT 2ND DEGREE(IDENTIFY)-[3 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS],

Travis E. Lay, 23, of Louisa; was arrested on October 24,2019, at 3:31 P.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

Dalton R. Mosley, 20, of Blaine,Kentucky; was arrested on October 24, 2019, at 11:08 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and was charged with:
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

Tonetta J. Stepp, 40, of Louisa; was transported from the Boyd County Detention Center in Boyd County Ky. on October 25, 2019, at 11:55 A.M., by officers of the Lawrence County Jailer Office, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.
Joanie R. Adkins, 29, of UNKNOWN ADDRESS; was arrested on October 25, 2019, at 9:12 P.M.,by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-3RD DEGREE,
• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE.
Brittany L. Smith, 29, of Hazard, Kentucky; was arrested on October 25, 2019, at 9:20 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and was charged with:

Brett M. Thomas, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on October 26, 2019, at 2:51 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

Vina W. McCormick, 53, of Louisa; was arrested on October 26, 2019, at 6:10 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
