WAYNE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED AFTER NEARLY TWO WEEKS ON THE RUN
Clyde Anthony “Homer” Stiltner, 45, was charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and a single count of malicious wounding. His bond is set at $125,000.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Wayne County Magistrate Court, West Virginia State Police were dispatched on August 31, 2019 to a shooting that happened on 2200 Block of Left Fork of Millers Fork Road in Wayne and were told by Wayne County 911 the victim was shot in the shoulder and the suspect fled on an ATV. Upon arrival the victim, Calvery Bruce Stephenson, was lying in the road and bleeding from his right shoulder.
Stephenson said the property owner asked him to watch his property while away and when he approached Stiltner he became angry and pulled a gun firing twice striking Stephenson once. Stiltner then fled the scene on an atv and was able to stay on the run for days before being caught.
The WVSP could not locate Stiltner and an arrest warrant was issued. On September 11, he was apprehended and is lodged at the Western Regional Jail.
