Carter County Resident Found Guilty On Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses
Grayson, Ky. (July 24, 2019) – On Thursday, April 6, 2018 the Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland received a complaint concerning the sexual abuse of a juvenile.
During the course of the investigation, Detective Samuel Lawson collected sufficient evidence to charge Austin C. McGraw, age 25 of Grayson, with Sodomy 1st Degree and Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
On July 18, 2019, Austin C. McGraw was found guilty by a jury of his peers on both charges and sentenced to serve 18 years in prison and register as a lifetime offender on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland Indicted Carter County Resident
on Solicitation of Murder Charges
Grayson, Ky. (July 24, 2019) – On Monday, April 29, 2019 the Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland received a tip of an individual soliciting murder.
In October 2018, Detective Jeffrey Kelley charged, Matthew Kelley, age 29 of Grayson, KY with murder. Trooper Tyler Daniels lodged Mr. Kelley in the Carter County Detention Center.
Mr. Kelley solicited to have Detective Kelley, Trooper Daniels and a witness, Connie Duncan, in the prior case murdered. The investigation yielded sufficient evidence to charge Kelley with 2 counts of Solicitation of Murder – Police Officer and 1 count of Solicitation of Murder.
On July 12, 2019, Matthew Kelley was indicted by the Carter County Grand Jury.
This case remains under investigation by Detective Samuel Lawson.
