COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Tip your hat to Floyd Central. They came ready to play and put some good swings together. We didn’t play very clean and if we don’t get better defensively it’s going to be hard for us to make a run. I thought the bottom of our line up really showed up and drew some walks and got on base and we put it away in the seventh inning.”
“… CJ Fairchild was rusty on Saturday but pitched well and Lucas Maynard was very good for a second straight outing and that is a good sign for us.”
“… We have a tough week ahead of us with the team out of Tennessee and the #1 and #3 teams out of West Virginia. We are excited. Those games will make us better.”
Lawrence County is 15-2 overall and a perfect 14-0 in district and regional play. They play a tough David Crockett High out of Jonesborough, Tenn. tomorrow (April 18 and again Friday (April 19) at 6:00pm and 8pm.@ Randy Keeton Field in Louisa.
