In the last 9 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 17 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 25, there were at least 114 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 114, 11 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
That is in comparison to the previous 8 day period from 12:01 A.M. October 9 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 16, there were at least 91 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 91, 15 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
5 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring border counties (3 in Boyd County, with 1 transferred later transferred to Johnson County, and 2 in Martin County). That is compared to 4 Lawrence County residents busted and listed in the arrest report last week.

Robert W. Chafin, 41, of Louisa, was arrested on October 17, 2018, at 5:01 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (COCAINE) [ 2 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES ].
Christopher Lynn Maynard, 33, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on October 17, 2018, at 11:34 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
• POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON, ( 2 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES )
, • POSSESSION/USE OF RADIO THAT SENDS/RECEIVE POLICE MESSAGES.
David M. Ferguson, 50, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on October 17, 2018 at 4:24 P.M., by officer Billy Slone of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, and was charged with:
• PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).
Donnie K. Harris, 37, of Ulysses, Kentucky; was taken into custody and booked on October 18, 2018, at 2:16 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/ SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Ricky Vance, 51, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on October 18, 2018, at 4:40 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Department, and was charged with:
• BAIL JUMPING 1ST DEGREE,
• BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE, • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.
Ima Parsons, 54, of Warfield, Kentucky;was arrested on October 21, 2018, at 1:26 A.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police,and was charged with:
• DISREGARDING TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE-TRAFFIC LIGHT,
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES) 1ST OFFENSE.
Christopher Ratliff, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on October 23,2018, at 12:11 P.M.,by court security officer Rodney Lycan of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE ( < 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE ).
Jeffrey M. Copley, 46, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was taken into custody and booked on October 24, 2018, at 12:23 P.M., a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Joann C. Kimble, 27, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on October 24, 2018, at 4:57 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Department, and was charged with:

David Bryan Johnson, 40, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on October 24,2018, at 10:27 P.M., by patrolman officer Shane James of the Louisa Police Department,to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Kimberly M Smith, 50, of Louisa, was arrested on October 25, 2018, at 6:48 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Betty J. Vanover, 23, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, Kentucky on October 17, 2018, at 10:45 A.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post #14-Ashland, Ky., and was charged with
• NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES. Vanover’s bond was set at for: $264.
William Bradley Ellis, 41, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, Kentucky on October 17, 2018, at 11:39 P.M., by a deputy of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Niki Boyles, 32, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, Kentucky on October 19, 2018, at 6:18 P.M., by deputy Aaron Blevins, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
