COACH’S COMMENTS
“… This season we finished 10-0-1 in regional play prior to this match with the one tie with the Blackcats. We knew we would have to get through Prestonsburg to win the region. We just didn’t realize it would be in the first round of the tournament.”
“… It was an even match through the first 60 minutes and then Prestonsburg found their momentum. They are a young and well coached team. I look forward to playing them in the years to come.”
“… This season was one long experiment. There were a lot of unknowns and surprises along the way that come with starting any athletic program. It was great to start 6-0 and it set the tone for the season early. I look forward to having 16 boys return to the team next season including 10 starters. Every goal scorer this season will be with us (next season). With that type of experience coming back, I hope to make a real challenge at the district and regional titles.”
