In June, Chapel Tinius was crowned Miss Kentucky 2024!  She has been visiting schools all over the state since achieving the title.

At her stop at Blaine Elementary School, students were dazzled by her beautiful crown and sweet demeanor.

She talked with the students about three important topics and played several songs on her violin, which happens to be her talent during pageants.

The first topic discussed by Miss Tinius was the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s KY Proud program.  BES students were actively engaged in a discussion centered on agricultural products grown or produced throughout the state of KY.   These included various cash crops, including corn and soybeans.

Of course, horses and the KY Derby were mentioned, positively affecting the state through tourism.

The next topic was the importance of a heart-healthy diet and the need for regular exercise to achieve a long, healthy life.

The last topic was Operation Gratitude, which highlights thanking veteran heroes for their dedication and service to our country.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the visit and wished her the best of luck as she competes in the 2025 Miss America Pageant!
