COACH’S COMMENTS
“… The Lawrence County Middle School football team, led by Quarterbacks Mikey Artrip and Bryson Carter. We have had a quietly impressive season. At the start, few believed in the team’s potential, doubting they could even form a competitive squad due to their small roster.”
“… However, this gritty, aggressive team has silenced critics and is now making waves in the playoffs. Fresh off a thrilling 12-8 victory against Boyd County, the team’s running backs—Darren Brewer, Eddie Chicko, and Braylen Stumbo—put on a masterclass, amassing over 120 rushing yards. This dynamic trio has earned the nickname LC’s “Three-Headed Dragon.”
“… LC’s hard-hitting defense, led by 8th grader Cayden Boggs (a.k.a. “The Boogeyman”), has been terrorizing quarterbacks all season.”
“ …This defense, once seen as a group of misfits, now stands as a formidable force. New additions Maddox Fletcher and Max Murriell have provided the team with greater depth and a strong rotation, rounding out a defensive lineup that’s tough, relentless, and ready to compete.”
“… The Lawrence County Middle School team will face Rockcastle this Saturday at home, with kickoff set for 1 PM, in the second round of the playoffs. This matchup promises to be an exciting game, with both teams ready to leave it all on the field.”
