Paintsville, Ky. — For the second consecutive year the Lawrence Co. Bulldogs are your 15th Region Boys Soccer Champions after a 1-0 victory over Prestonsburg Thursday at Johnson Central High school.

15th Region Champs

Bobby Baisden, Ryland Brady, Daniel Clemente, Jack Cline, Eli Conley, Remy Marcum, Boedy Maynard, Aiden Mynhier, Colton New, Owen Pack, Cole Robinette, Jacob Sanabria, Dalton Shapaka, Caden Sweeney, Andrew Vinson, Cooper Vinson, Gabe Vinson, Gavin Wells

Andrew Vinson found Aiden Mynhier in the first three minutes of the contest and the SoocerDawg defense along with goalkeeper Ryland Brady did the rest to secure the 1-0 victory.

The SoccerDawgs ( 10-9 ) will play at 13th Region Champion Oneida Baptist Institute ( 17-4 ) on Monday at 7:00 in the first round of the State Tournament.

Lawrence Co. Head Coach Scott Johnson

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Our boys came out ready to play from the whistle. We controlled the tempo and got up 1-0 in the first 3 minutes. Andrew Vinson connected with Aiden Mynhier on a chip and Aiden was able to finish it.  PBurg had some chances in the game but they weren’t great.  Our defense really stifled them and anytime they got through, Ryland Brady was there to swallow up the ball.”
