LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – APRIL 19-29, 2018

From 12:01 A.M. April 19 thru to 11:59 P.M., April 29, there were at least 140 individuals who were arrested and brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Out of those 140 or so, 21 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Another 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring Kentucky counties ( 1 in Elliot County, 1 in Martin county, 1 in Morgan County, and 4 in Johnson County)
As of sunrise Monday morning April 30, there were 351 inmates lodged at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville; in which the maximum designated capacity for the BSRDC is to hold 225 inmates. That is approximately 56% over capacity. For comparison, the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, Kentucky at sunrise Monday morning April 30, has 376 inmates booked, in a facility that designated maximum capacity is for 400 inmates. That is at 96% capacity.
The names and criminal charges of the latest Lawrence County arrests ( and the 7 out of county arrests) are the following:
Corey Dustin Skaggs, 35, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on April 19, 2018, at 11:09 A.M., in the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Kenneth Conn, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on April 19, 2018, at 10:03 P.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED).
Crystal G. Wheeler, 40, of Louisa, was arrested on April 20, 2018, at 1:14 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Jeffery W. Brown, 24, of Louisa, was arrested on April 20, 2018, at 4:53 A.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
