Fort Gay, W. Va. — In basketball they call Tolsia the Runnin’ Rebels but in baseball last week they called them the ‘Road Rebels’ with two trips to Westwood, one to Olive Hill and one to Sandy Hook for a neutral site game so the Rebels will be glad to come back home for a few games at Rebel field.
Tolsia 7 Tug Valley 4 (Monday)
In the only home game of the week Tolsia won an important game for section seeding purposes over the Panthers.
Eric Williams went five innings on the mound to get the win and also went 2-3 at the plate.

Tolsia 8 Menifee Co. 2 (Saturday afternoon)
The Rebels traveled to Sandy Hook to play the Wildcats at Elliott Co. as Austin Bailey went the first four innings to pick up the win.
Billy Perry finished it off going the final three innings and didn’t allow a hit to pick up the save.

Tolsia will return to action tonight against Lincoln County at home.

Tolsia Head Coach Jeff Wallace
COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We got a nice win over Tug Valley for two reasons, first we have been on a rollercoaster all year and we needed a win. Secondly, that’s a sectional game we have to win to boost our seeding position because we haven’t played all our sectional opponents due to weather.”
“… We played poorly against Fairview the first game and got punched in the mouth after leading 5-2 in the 3rd inning. The final was a dismal mercy rule shortened game in the 6th inning. We turned it around the next trip to Fairview and lost a one run game. Eric Williams had a perfect game going through 5 innings and ends up with a one hitter. It was a Tough luck loss for all of us.”
“… Then we travel to Sandy Hook later that day to play Menifee County we jumped on them 6-0 in the top of the first inning and ended up playing a solid game with one error and win 8-2. Our season has been a strange one.”
