ACTC Offers Driving Course
A driving instruction course at Ashland Community and Technical College can help both teens and adults prepare for the road.
Taught by Boyd County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Riffe, students will learn good driving skills through the use of up-to-date information and on-the-road driving practice. Completion of the program may also help reduce auto insurance rates.
Participants must have a valid driver’s permit or license and must be prepared to attend all class sessions as scheduled. Sessions are scheduled on weekday evenings or Saturdays on a first-come basis. Cost for the course is $225 and seats are limited.

Intro to Virtual Reality Class
ACTC is offering a free Introduction to Virtual Reality class on Saturdays, March 25 and April 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Technology Drive Campus. This class is an open discussion on the benefits that Virtual Reality may have for your business or classroom.
Many businesses have embraced virtual reality as a cost effective way of developing a product or service. For example, it enables them to test a prototype without having to develop several versions which can be time consuming and expensive. Virtual Reality can also transform education by giving students an interactive, three-dimensional learning environment.
This class is an open discussion on the benefits that Virtual Reality may have for your business or classroom. The class is supported by an USDA Rural Development grant. USDA Rural Development is committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
