REGISTER AT LIBRARY FOR SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM…Starts on Monday, May 20, 2024

The Lawrence County Public Library Board Members had a Regular Board Meeting on Monday May 13, 2024 at the Lawrence County Public Library, 102 W. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230 at 12 PM. Lawrence County Public Library Director Carlie Pelfrey was in attendance along with Library Board Members President Marc Lester, Vice President Susie Chambers, Treasurer Kim Burchett and Lennie Collins. Board Member James Allen Pauley Barker was absent.
The April 2024 Minutes were passed unanimously with a Motion by Susie Chambers 2nd by Lennie Collins.
The March 2024 Financials were unanimously passed with a Motion by Lennie Collins 2nd by Kim Burchett.
The 2023 – 2024 Budget Amendments were passed unanimously with a Motion by Susie Chambers 2nd by Marc Lester.
The 2024 – 2025 Budget Draft was passed unanimously Kim Burchett 2nd by Susie Chambers. (Copy not made available for posting).
The 2024 – 2025 Health Insurance Premium for Renewal was made with a Motion by Marc Lester 2nd by Susie Chambers passed unanimously. The Premium was passed unanimously with a Motion by Marc Lester 2nd by Lennie Collins. It will cost taxpayers up by $900 per year per employee. Director Carlie Pelfrey said this an unusual and cost usually doesn’t isn’t more ths $300-$400.

Summer Feeding Update: Begins Monday May 20, 2024 Registration is active.
This year the USDA wants everyone participating in the Summer Feed Program to register for the meals received. This process is very important and can be done by registering with this link: https://lcplky.org/2024-summer-feeding/
Or you can register at the Lawrence County Public Library. For any information on how to register or questions please contact the library at 606 638-4497. Also all hot meals are paid for by the USDA all snack and weekend bags are purchased by the Lawrence County Public Library.
