DRY RIDGE — A Butler woman has been arrested in connection of the theft of more than $50,000 from an Augusta church.
On Wednesday, Kentucky State Police Detective Jeremy Moore arrested Dorothy Colleen Barth, 59, on the charge of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.
According to the investigation, Barth was the treasurer for Trinity United Methodist Church in Augusta.
She allegedly took in excess of $50,000 from the church between September 2015 to June 2016, police said.
Barth was taken to Mason County Detention Center.
