Carl Short, 92, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Carl was born February 10, 1932 to the late  Robert Ray and Evalena (Thompson) Short. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo (Hicks) Short; brother Kermit Gene Short; and sister Helen Damron.

Carl proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post 89.

Survivors include his step daughter Tammy Pack; brother Billy R. (Brenda) Short; sister Linda (Charles) Fyffe; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Harry Frisby officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Short Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Short and his family.
