Louisa Rotary 2016 officer Installation
The Louisa Rotary club met Thursday, July 7 for their weekly meeting. The meeting began by recognizing Sherry Compton’s birthday. Lindsey Case, the clubs new president, led her first meeting.
The guest speaker was Laura Maggard with the Lawrence County Extension Office. She informed the club about dates and events that are upcoming. Friday, August 5, is the Annual Farm and Home Field Day at the Blaine Community Park from 4-6pm.
Tuesday, July 19, the Louisa East and West will hold their annual Readi-fest at the Lawrence Co . Community Center, adjacent to LCHS from 9am-3pm.
Tuesday, July 12, the Lawrence Co. Farmers market will be open to the public. Their hours will be 9am until noon. The Farmers Market Customer Appreciation Day will be August 2, 2016. Last week the Rotary Club held its yearly Installation Outing. The club hold’s the installation every year to install new club officers.
This year it was held on a house boat on Yatesville Lake. The new President, Lindsey Case was inducted. Chris Jobe is the new VP. Joe Hart is the treasurer once again. The new Secretary hasn’t been named.
The meeting was then adjourned.
