Austin Wireman, 90, of Fredville, KY went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Austin was born August 25, 1933 in Magoffin County, KY to the late Wilbur H. and Ada M. Wireman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Constance “Connie” Arnett Wireman; sister Dixie Jean Wireman; father and mother in law Arvel and Mae S. Arnett; sister in law Nina Arnett; and brothers in law Victor Davis, Henry Coons, Joseph Brockman and John M. Robinette.

Surviving are his children Kimberly (Jeff) Rudd and William Austin “Bill” Wireman; grandchildren DeLaney Marie Wireman-Skaggs and her husband Will Skaggs, Elijah J. Rudd, Levi A. Rudd, Benjamin Rudd; great grandsons Wiley Wireman-Skaggs and Baby Brother Wireman-Skaggs; sisters Bertha Brockman, Priscilla (Ralph) Hicks, Zenith Robinette, and Vicky (Dan) Doucette; sisters in law Madge Davis and Carolyn Coons; nieces Laura Wireman, Elizabeth Buckler, Carla Lloyd, Johnda Robinette, Jeannie Robinette and Jennifer Robinette; nephew Ralph Hicks; great nieces Claire Buckler and Rachel Wireman; and great nephews Matthew Wireman and Caleb Buckler.

Austin was a retired educator. He was a member of the Magoffin County Historical Society, a basketball coach for the John T. Arnett Rebels for many years, and a car enthusiast. Alongside his passion and dedication to raising his family and teaching, Austin thoroughly enjoyed farming his tobacco field and tending to his many animals, especially his horses and his cat Callie. Austin enjoyed working with his wife Connie on countless projects for the Magoffin County Historical Society. With his endless knowledge, he was a Jack of all trades; a “fixer” of all things; but most of all he was a loving husband, father, poppy, brother, and friend to all.
