Eagle Ridge Golf League News
Two Weeks into the Season
Bill Jackson
The Eagle Ridge Golf League commenced on Tuesday, April 19, 2019, at 5:30 PM. I was out of town and had furnished Dan Preece with a schedule that was 9-players short. Therefore, Dan had to improvise and did a creative job of placing players into groups. Now, since I am the person charged with creating the pairings, we do now have a new players’ schedule that takes all members in consideration. There will be no duplication in playing partners for at least 13-weeks. The league has the largest number of players since I commenced recording the scores and calculating the handicaps.
The course is attempting to recover from the plugging of the greens and the fairways, a needed process. However, the lack of rain has made the course play very demanding, especially on the greens. With the rains received last night, and the projection of more rains this week, the fairways and greens will soon recover, and Eagle Ridge will play to its normal difficulty.
