Fort Gay claims #3 seed with win over Crum; Wayne Co. Tournament starts Tuesday

Fort Gay, W. Va. — In a battle of future Rebels the Fort Gay Vikings beat the Crum Mountaineers 45-33 Thursday evening.

Keaton Blackburn and Kyndul Kincaid tallied 16 points each to lead the Vikings, Braylen Stumbo netted 6 points, Braylen Conn added 5 points and Braden Kitts chipped in with 2 points. 

Fort Gay hit 3 three pointers and went 4 for 13 from the free throw line. 

The Mountaineers were led by Steeler Salmons with 15 points, Parker Stacy hit 2 three pointers for his 6 points, Anikin Deskins had 5 points, Carson Castle added 3 points, Trevor Copley and Jayden Bradley had 2 points each. 

Crum hit 3 three pointers and went 4 for 16 from the free throw line.

Crum 55 Fort Gay 36 

Earlier in the season in a matchup at Crum the Mountaineers defeated the Vikings behind 7 three pointers from Steeler Salmons. 

Salmons finished with 25 points to lead the Mountaineers, Parker Stacy connected on 3 three pointers and netted 15 points, Carson Castle and Nathan Messer had 4 points each, Trevor Copley 3 points, Anikin Desons and Jayden Bradley 2 points each. 

Crum hit 11 three pointers and went 0 for 3 from the free throw line. 

Kyndul Kincaid led the Vikings with 15 points, Braylen Stumbo added 7 points, Braden Kitts netted 6 points, Keaton Blackburn and Braylen Conn had 4 points each. 

The Vikings hit 3 three pointers and went 6 of 10 from the foul line.

Saturday February 24th

Third place game at Noon 

Championship game at 1:30
