Lawrence Co. Girls Head Coach Melinda Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… What a great win tonight for my girls. We didn’t play our best basketball the last time we met but tonight we did a much better job. We still didn’t shoot as well as we would like but we won the rebounding battle 36-20 and that has been a big focus for us the last few weeks. Defend and rebound! I told them if we won that battle we’d win the 1 seed. That’s what they did tonight so I’m very proud of them for coming into a hostile environment and really doing a good job getting this done against Floyd Central.”

Lawrence Co. Boys Head Coach Chandler Thompson

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Very proud of our guys for going into Floyd Central with the 1 seed on the line and playing as well as they did. When we shoot the ball like we shot it last night, we will win a lot of ball games. Floyd Central is a very talented team and very hard to guard. Anytime we can go into an environment like that and come out with a win, it is certainly a step in the right direction. We go to East Ridge on Saturday then back home next Tuesday night for senior night with Paintsville!”
