We’re a family of barbecue lovers. We’ve been selling smoked meats in the Ashland area since 2013. Right now, we operate Dorky’s BBQ: a small barbecue eatery in Ashland. Many folks have asked us about staying open on weekends in Ashland, but we had other plans.
Dorky’s Roadhouse is different. In the Dorky family, there was always a vision to operate a place-somewhere that could become a destination. Our first location in Ashland has taken on a life of its own as a lunch spot, but the location doesn’t make way for the kind of dinner spot we envision. The plan is for Dorky’s BBQ in Ashland to focus on lunch crowds, while Dorky’s Roadhouse in Louisa focuses on weekend and dinner crowds.
