Carter Caves To Host Jack-O’-Lantern Cave Event October 23-24

Olive Hill, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2026) – Carter Caves State Resort Park invites families to celebrate the Halloween season at its Jack-o’-Lantern Cave event on Oct. 23-24, featuring hundreds of glowing carved pumpkins inside Cascade Cave.

The event runs from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and from 1 – 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. The event will also include a live pumpkin-carving demonstration by a professional artist. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 years old and under.

Guests can help make the event a success by donating a pumpkin to the Welcome Center from Oct. 21 – 22, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. To learn more about the event, visit parks.ky.gov.
