Charles E. Acord, 75, of Prichard, WV went home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 12, 2026. He was born November 8, 1950.
Charles leaves behind his wife of 49 years Bonnie Acord; three daughters Tammy (Thomas) Kraemer and Nancy Napier of Prichard, WV and Kathy (Eddie) McKenzie of Glen Burnie, MD; five grandchildren Charity Kraemer-Joseph, Cody Napier, Savannah Napier, Tyler McKenzie, and Zack McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Acord and his son Michael Acord. Charles worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ashland Oil for 40 years. He was a pastor, a preacher, and he loved to sing for the Lord.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Acord Family Cemetery with Pastor Roger Watts and Pastor Jerry Smith officiating.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Pastor Acord and his family.
