WAYNE COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA MAN ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, KENTUCKY ON NINE-COUNT INDICTMENT WARRANT
A Wayne County, West Virginia was taken into custody in Lawrence County, Kentucky on an indictment that headline involving importing and possession heroin and other street narcotics.
Kevin Michael Stiltner, 39, of Fort Gay, W.VA., was arrested on Friday, September 25, by Lawrence County Sheriff Chuck Jackson, on an indictment warrant containing nine drug and traffic-related charges.
Kevin Stiltner was charged with: • IMPORTING HEROIN; • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN); • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1D) – 1ST OFFENSE; • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS; • PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE; • RECKLESS DRIVING; • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS; • DRIVING MOTOR VEHICLE USING HAND-HELD MOBILE TELEPHONE
Kevin Stiltner was transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, where he remains incarcerated as of Tuesday evening, September 29.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, KENTUCKY MAN CHARGED WITH MAJOR FELONY AFTER ALLEGED MACHETE ASSAULT
A Lawrence County, Kentucky man who is already facing 18 charges, 9 each, mostly felonies, from two previous arrests in Lawrence County on November 15, 2025 & February 12, 2026; is now facing a serious felony assault charge in his latest arrest.
According to the arrest citation report, on early Saturday morning, September 26, Larry Eugene Dixon, 60, of Louisa, KY., is facing an assault charge after a man alleged Larry Dixon entered his residence and struck him in the face with what he believed was a machete.
The arrest citation report states the alleged victim suffered a laceration near his right eye. Larry Dixon was later located and arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff Office deputy Wyatt Laney.
Larry Dixon was charged with: • ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE. He was transported to, booked, and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County; where he has since posted his bond and has been released from the BSRDC jail.

LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED AFTER RAMMING HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH HIS AUTOMOBILE, THEN GETTING OUT AND HITTING HER WITH A BASEBALL BAT
On the late afternoon of Tuesday, September 15, Leonard Brandon Rice, 39 of Louisa, KY., was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff Office deputy James Ward; and he was charged with: *ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; when according to a police report by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office; he struck his girlfriend with his vehicle; and then again beating her with a baseball bat.
The arrest report stated that deputy James Ward responded to a call at the location of Meads Church, with the caller stating that he had just witnessed a female being hit by a vehicle and being struck with a baseball bat and was rendering aid to her.
The female victim was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa; while Leonard Rice was transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Johnson County; where he has since posted his bond and has been released from the BSRDC jail.
