Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence County HS VolleyDawgs won their third straight contest with a 3-1 victory over Prestonsburg on Labor Day.

With the win over the Blackcats on Monday the Bulldogs improved to 5-5 on the season and 2-1 in 58th District action. 

Lawrence County 2 Pike County Central 0 

In the Betsy Layne Lady Cat Classic on Saturday the Bulldogs swept the Hawks.

Lawrence County 3 Floyd Central 1 

For the first time in a while the Bulldogs defeated the Jaguars on the road.

Lawrence County will return to action on Monday September 14th at home versus West Carter and Wednesday the 16th versus Magoffin County and then will travel to District rival Betsy Layne on Thursday the 17th.

“… It’s great to get another District win! Our consistent passing gave us a lot of opportunities to attack the ball. We need to work on making adjustments at the net, but overall I’m happy with what we’ve been able to do so far this season.”

“… We are on the right path to accomplishing our goal of winning the 58th District tournament this fall.”
