A Lawrence County, Kentucky man is facing charges after police say he was found riding in a vehicle reported stolen from the Food City grocery store parking lot in Louisa.
According to the arrest citation, it states that on Friday,, September 4, Justin Taylor Fitzpatrick, 35, of Louisa, KY., was a passenger in the vehicle when Kentucky State Police stopped it on U.S. 23 in Boyd County. Kentucky State Police alleged that Justin Fitzpatrick had earlier told another man how easy it would be to steal a car and later entered the vehicle after it was taken.
Justin Fitzpatrick was arrested officially by Louisa Police Department patrolman Chase Kirk, and he was charged with:
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1,000 < $10,000 (COMPLICITY);
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO $1,000 < $10,000 (COMPLICITY).
The identity of the man who actually stole the vehicle at Food City was not given in the arrest citation.
Justin Fitzpatrick was transported to be booked and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, where he is currently incarcerated as of Tuesday afternoon, September 8.
This latest criminal escapade by Justin Fitzpatrick marks nearly three dozen arrests made on him in Lawrence County, KY. and Pike County KY. since he turned 18 years old in 2009; on nearly 100 felonies, misdemeanors and motor vehicle traffic violations.
