The Rotary Club of Louisa welcomed fellow Rotarian and City of Louisa Mayor Harold Slone as the guest speaker during its August 27 meeting.

Mayor Slone provided members with an update on several upcoming projects and improvements planned for the City of Louisa. Among the topics discussed were ongoing and future work involving the city’s sewer system and other projects aimed at improving local infrastructure and serving the needs of Louisa residents.
Mayor Slone also shared his excitement for the upcoming SeptemberFest, scheduled for September 11 and 12. The annual celebration is a much-anticipated tradition that brings residents and visitors together to enjoy everything our community has to offer.
This year’s festivities will include a parade, food vendors, live music, and plenty of opportunities for fun and fellowship throughout the community. Mayor Slone encouraged everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, and support the local organizations, businesses, vendors, and individuals who help make SeptemberFest possible.
The Rotary Club of Louisa appreciates Mayor Slone for taking the time to speak with members and share updates about the important work taking place throughout the city.
Rotary members are proud to support the continued growth and improvement of Louisa and encourage everyone to mark their calendars for September 11 and 12. Come out, bring the family, enjoy some great food and live music, catch the parade, and celebrate the wonderful community we are fortunate to call home!
