Louisa Rotary Club August 20, 2026 Welcomes Missy Kennedy

The Louisa Rotary Club welcomed Missy Kennedy of Yatesville Lake State Park as our guest speaker during our August 20 meeting, and she brought some exciting news about what’s ahead for one of Lawrence County’s greatest treasures!

Missy shared information about upcoming renovations planned for the Yatesville Lake State Park Marina, giving Rotarians a look at improvements that will help enhance the experience for those who live here as well as the many visitors who come to enjoy the lake each year.

Yatesville Lake is much more than a beautiful place to spend a summer afternoon. From boating and fishing to camping, golfing and simply enjoying the outdoors, the park is an important recreational destination and a wonderful asset to Lawrence County. Continued investment in the park and marina is exciting not only for those who enjoy the lake, but also for our local community and the visitors these amenities bring to our area.
