Belfry, Ky. — In a game called at halftime because of lightning the Lawrence County Boys Soccer team recorded a 3-2 victory over Region rival Belfry Thursday.

Dawson Kitts, Tucker Smith, Maddox Webb, Trey Keeton, Corbin Lee, Bryant Stepp, Isaac Maynard, Wyatt Haney
The SoccerDawgs improved to 1-1 on the season with the shortened game.
Senior Jack Cline, Sophomore Issac Maynard and Freshman Levi Hensley scored for the Bulldogs.
Junior Cooper Vinson and Hensley also picked up assists in the victory
Junior Goalkeeper Cole Robinette recorded six saves in the win.
In the Season opener on Wednesday the Dawgs fell to Boyd County 3-0.
Bulldog goal keeper Cole Robinette had 10 saves in the loss.
Lawrence County will return to action next week at Johnson Central on Tuesday and host Russell on Thursday.
