Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence County VolleyDawgs are looking to make the next step in the 15th Region with six seniors leading the charge.

Lawrence County went 9-16 last season and fell in the first round of the 58th District Tournament to eventual champion Floyd Central.
Autumn Blevins heads into her 9th season at the helm with high expectations for the group led by six seniors who have a ton of experience and the potential to have a really good season.

The Bulldogs will open the season at home on Monday August 17th versus neighboring Martin County.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… This team is really competitive and have came along way since the first practice, and have improved over the last couple of years. We have set of seniors that has been great leaders in past years and we expect the same this season. They lead by example, they show up on time, they are the last to leave. They play hard they compete and want to be successful their last go around wearing the Black and Red.”
“… We expect to be at the front of our District even though it is one of the best group of teams in the 15th Region. Floyd Central and Betsy Layne have been the top two teams for a while and we look to make a run this season and see if we can knock them off.”
“… They really enjoyed the Marshall Camp and look forward to that every year. We got to play some teams that we don’t normally see from West Virginia and Ohio so that was good. I thought we competed well and the girls came away excited to get the season underway.”
